What is an Open Water Dive Course?
The Open Water Diver (OWD) course provides instruction covering diving techniques, safety protocols, necessary scuba gear and dive preparation.
Upon completion, the PADI Open Water Diver certification enables you to explore underwater independently, with a depth limit of 18 meters.
The course is ddevides into 3 parts:
- Knowledge development, which can be undertaken via PADI eLearning.

- Confined sessions in the swimming pool, where you'll learn basic scuba diving skills and become acquainted with the diving equipment.
- The final stage of your training involves completing four sea open water dives
Open Water Course Schedule
Day 1-2: Course introduction, confined water training in the swimming pool and theory
Day 3: Two open water dives: 9:00am – 1:30pm and theory in the afternoon
Please note: The course can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. The dive sites are located near Padang Bai and Tulamben.
General terms for operation
PLEASE NOTE - there is no pickup available from your hotel - you must make your own way to OK Divers.

Staff will receive your booking and reconfirm within 24hrs.

Occasionally, the dates selected may no longer be available. In such cases, every effort will be made to accommodate you with a date change or alternative option.
Minimun age for participating:
You need to be 10 years or over to take part in this activity.
Cancellations and changes to your booking:
- Cancellation 45 days or less before the activity = no refund.
- Cancellation 46 to 90 days before the activity = 50 % refund.
- Cancellation 91 to 180 days before the activity = 75% refund.
- Cancellation 180 or more days before the activity = 90 % refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee.
- No refunds given in case of act of god.
- If you wish to change your booking in any way, you must contact us as soon as possible and we will accommodate your request to the best of our ability and availability. Surcharges may apply.
